FR / Ici est une table d’orientation réalisée à partir de diverses cartes géographiques des Pyrénées. Elle est composée d'éventails de ces géographies, une forme répétée inspirée de la forme classique de la table d'orientation ou de celle de notre champ de vision humaine. On s’oriente en regardant la chaîne pyrénéenne représentée comme si l’on se tenait sur un haut sommet d’Espagne et que l’on regardait vers le nord, la Mer Méditerranée à l’est, l’Océan Atlantique à l’ouest. Et entre-deux, les territoires cartographiés à différentes époques et échelles, pour marcher, pour rouler, pour se situer dans l’espace et dans le temps.

L'été bleu est un ensemble d’impressions solaires réalisées avec la technique du cyanotype, installées en constellation en face de la table d'orientation : cartes anciennes des vallées et des gaves du Béarn et du Lavedan, cartes linguistiques des Pyrénées catalanes, cartes des vents et des marées des côtes Basques, cartes Ledormeur (pyrénéiste-cartographe), fragments d’archives photographiques locales, plantes endémiques, graines, lichens, pollens… Chaque cyanotype a été exposé à la lumière des jours de l’été 2024, la densité de leurs bleus, la précision ou l’imprécision des traits dépendant de la météo et de l’heure de la journée. Ce rituel estival a pris la mesure des jours en en cartographiant les instants sur le papier photosensible, comme des cadrans solaires.

EN / Ici / Here is an orientation table created using various geographical maps of the Pyrenees. It consists of a series of these maps arranged in a repeating pattern inspired by the classic shape of an orientation table or by the shape of our human field of vision. You orient yourself by looking at the Pyrenean mountain range depicted as if you were standing on a high peak in Spain and looking north, with the Mediterranean Sea to the east and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. And in between, territories mapped at different times and scales, for walking, for driving, for situating oneself in space and time.

L'été bleu / Blue Summer is a collection of solar prints created using the cyanotype technique, arranged in a constellation in front of the orientation table: old maps of the valleys and mountain streams of Béarn and Lavedan, linguistic maps of the Catalan Pyrenees, maps of winds and tides along the Basque coast, Ledormeur maps (Pyrenean mountaineer-cartographer), fragments of local photographic archives, endemic plants, seeds, lichens, pollen… Each cyanotype was exposed to the light of the days of summer 2024; the density of their blues, the precision or imprecision of the lines depended on the weather and the time of day. This summer ritual measured the days by mapping their moments onto photosensitive paper, like sundials.
